The Enterprise For Women (efw) is an enterprise facilitating economic development for girls and women. We provide them with a platform to acquire knowledge, skills and expertise to own and manage thriving businesses.
Established in 2009, our primary focus is the SADC region, as well as English-speaking countries in East (Kenya) and West Africa (Nigeria). Our overall objective is to contribute toward local economic growth and innovation and build the next generation of women entrepreneurs thus helping alleviate poverty in our communities.
Vision
To promote and facilitate women’s economic development and advancement in the area of entrepreneurship and technological innovation, thus improving the socio-economic status and living conditions of Southern African women and girls by being economically empowered.
Mision
Implement innovative initiatives, designed and executed for women individuals, groups and organisations. Our ultimate objective is to Introduce, Promote, Grow and Expose women and girls and strategically position them in the mainstream global economy.

Target Group
Our primary targets are women entrepreneurs, employed women and aspiring entrepreneurs (individuals and or groups from urban, peri-urban and rural communities). At a secondary level, we work with public and private institutions, working towards a common objective, both locally and internationally, mainly through partnership and consultancy.

Enhance the knowledge, skill and expertise around entrepreneurship and technological innovation in various sectors.
Increase the number of women involved in entrepreneurship and technological innovation and relevant knowledge through the use of research.
Identify and create business and market opportunities for products, skills and services rendered by women and girls.
Facilitate linkages and exchange empowerment forums and interactions both at local and international levels.
Lobby support to both public and private institutions on further strengthening women’s participation in innovation.
Celebrate the profiling and affirmation of successful leadership around innovation.
Our Services
Our services cater for both public and private sectors with the same objective, enhancing and empowering women and girls through training, caching, workshops, advisory and more. We believe that if an effort like this is more channelled to women and girls then the basic needs of families are taken care of.
This further supports the motion of the World Bank that the empowerment of women is smart economics, indicated by numerous studies showing that investing in women yields large social and economic returns.
